The Mt. Wilson Observatory Association (MWOA) is a volunteer support group for Mt. Wilson Observatory. It is a way for individuals with an interest in Mt. Wilson, its ongoing research, its history, and its public outreach, to participate in some of the Observatory's activities. However, it is not an amateur astronomy or amateur telescope making club, although there is a lot of astronomy and telescopes involved. Membership is open to anyone.

Please send membership dues to the P.O. box address below. Checks are usually deposited during the first week of the month following receipt. Inquiries for more information can be sent there as well, but don't be surprised if the response is slow. We collect the mail from the P.O. box only once a month near the beginning of the month (remember, we are volunteers and don't get paid). For a faster response, send an e-mail to
info@mwoa.org.

The Mount Wilson Observatory Association (MWOA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization incorporated in the State of California. MWOA is not a part of either the Mount Wilson Institute (MWI), which manages and operates Mount Wilson Observatory, or the Carnegie Institution of Washington, which owns most of the Observatory's facilities. MWOA does, however, function with MWI under a Memorandum of Understanding between them.
